UMIDIGI G2+ & C2+ teased ahead of G2 and C2 official announcement

Seems UMIDIGI is got multiple affordable entry-level smartphones in the works at the same time. Last week, the company released expected specifications of their upcoming G2 and C2 smartphones. But while those two are yet to go official, the company is now also teasing the expected specifications for the upgraded G2 and C2 Plus models.

As per the teasers, the UMIDIGI G2+ & C2+ will features a 6.52-inch IPS LCD waterdrop notch display that produces an HD+ resolution of 1600 x 720 pixels and an aspect ratio of 20:9. The phone is coupled with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage.

For more storage, the device is equipped with a microSD card slot and supports 256GB SD card expansion memory. It houses a 5150mAh battery that supports 10W charging via USB-C.

Compared with G2 & C2, the front camera of G2+ & C2+ is upgraded from 5MP to 8MP. There is a 13MP main camera, a 2MP depth camera, and a flash in the rectangular module on the back of the phone. UMIDIGI G2+&C2+ will run on the latest Android 13 OS out of the box.

It offers other features like dual SIM, 4G VoLTE, global bands, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS, and a 3.5mm audio jack. Another important upgrade is that it supports side fingerprint scanner, which is completely absent on the vanilla G2 and C2 modes. Both of these new comers are offered in Black, Gold, and Blue colors.

It is still not clear when the G2 & C2 will be officially announced, not to talk of the new Plus models. But seeing that they all belongs to the same G2 and C2 series, you should not be surprise to see them all on the same day within the first month of 2023, which is January. It might also seems that UMIDIGI will be taking it C and G series to more markets, but time shall tell.
