Honor brings the X9a 5G to the Middle East and African countries

Honor have just announced a new smartphone that will be available in the Middle East and African countries. It is called the Honor X9a 5G, and it is already on sales in Malaysia. The phone comes in the same body as the Honor X40, but with slightly different camera setup.

Note that the Honor X40 has been on sales in China since the mid of September, and while Honor prepares for the official announcement of the Honor X4 GT model, the later is yet to be available internationally.

It seems Honor is giving the X9a 5G to it international audience instead of the X40. So for those who may want to look in the direction of this new comer, here is all you should know about the same.

To begin with, the Honor X9a 5G comes in a fairly large 6.67-inches screen with 1080 x 2400 pixels. The phone has a tiny notch on the head, and it offers almost 90% screen-to-body ratio.

Processing power on the new comer is the same Snapdragon 695 SoC from Qualcomm. It is available in either 6/6GB RAM, paired with 128/256GB ROM.

Camera options on the X9a 5G includes a 64-megapixel main shooter, 5-megapixel ultrawide sensor and a 2-megapixel macro lens. The X40 has two camera sensors on the rear, and the primary sensor is capped at 50-megapixels.

There is a 16-megapixel selfie sensor on the front, while Google Android 12 with MagicUI 6.1 is available out of the box. USB Type-C, NFC and Bluetooth 5.1 are some of the available connectivity options.

Honor X9a 5G pricing and availability

The Honor X9a 5G is available in Titanium Silver, Emerald Green and Midnight Black colors. It will be fully available in Malaysia starting from the 4th Jan 2023. Pricing however has not been announced as at when this news was written.
