Upcoming realme GT Neo5 teased with a whooping 240W fast charger
Realme is preparing to bring the direct successor to the current GT Neo3. But it is not going to be the GT Neo4, rather, the company is jumping to the GT Neo5. This will be the next major device from the company following the release of the blockbuster realme 10-series.
We’ve all been in the dark as to what specs and features to expect from the upcoming Realme GT Neo5 smartphone, but not any more. Today, the company via it official Weibo.com, has reveal three (3) key specifications to expect from the upcoming device.
According to the teaser image shown below, the GT Neo5 will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 CPU, the predecessor to the current Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 Chipset.
This is the same Chipset that has been used on many flagship devices like the OnePlus 10T, Asus ZenFone 9, Lenovo Legion Y70, Xiaomi 12s Ultra, and even the Galaxy Fold4. It has an 8-core CPUs at 3.2GHz, along with Adreno 730 GPU.
The second hardware revealed is the main camera. As per the teaser, the GT Neo5 will get Sony IMX890 image sensor on it rear. This is the same image sensor rumored to arrive with OPPO’s Find X6 series, and it will have OIS support as well.
Final item on the poster is the expected charging speed, it was the first item actually. The GT Neo5 will come with an industry record-breaking 240W ultra fast charger. It is the highest charging speed that can be pushed via a USB Type-C interface.
Aside the internal hardware, the poster also reveal what the rear design of the GT Neo5 will look like. The rear actually look like a hybrid of the recent Realme 10 Pro and iQOO Z6 Lite. It will have three camera lenses on the back, held on two separate chromes. Although the camera specifications of the other two lenses are yet to be known. Expected date of arrival is not known as well, but it should not exceed January of next year.
